I visit Phoenix twice a year and Carolina's is always the first restaurant I visit.. It isn't somewhere to go for any kind of atmosphere but if you just want great Mexican food it is the best. The tamales and enchiladas are my favorites but I have recommended Carolina's to many friends and just about everything on their menu has... more

I just came back from eating the best chimi ever! combo#16 beef the rice and beans are yummy. You know that Carolina's makes their food just like nana would. Thanks a bunch Carolina's :) Paul more

On a recent trip to Phoenix, we ate at Carolina's not once but twice because my daughter loved the crispy tacos! The servings are very generous. Between our visits, we ordered Oaxaca Special (Beef chorizo w/beans, potatoes and cheese), burros (burritos), flautas, chimichangas and the famous flour tortillas that are HUGE! Carolinas has two locations now. I went to the north one at 2126 East Cactus Road, Phoenix, tonight and had their Chimichanga with Guacamole. It was delicioius, perfectly prepared, and came with homemade hot sauce on the side, plastic ware, napkins, and I bought two extra flour tortillas as well, since everyone on Tripadvisor has raved about them.
