Party of 4. We were seated instantly. The smell was good. There was one other party in the restaurant. We started with 3 teas and a Sierra Mist. The Sierra Mist was awful. All 4 of us tried it to verify. We sent it back and ordered an MGD. We ordered 2 NY Strip Steaks, a top sirloin and a... more

Rod's has a respectable local history and when I walked in I was overwhelmed with memories of tacky 1950s restaurants that my parents used to frequent. So I enjoyed the "regrettable" decor and the bustle, and jug wine served in water glasses. The locals certainly come here, and they get better attention than strangers, but our waiter was alright with... more

4 of us were there April 9th. We all enjoyed our food. The Rod special steak coated in sugar was wonderful and very different. the cherry pie used fresh cherries and was wonderful. One of our dinners said she enjoyed it more than Ruth's Chris - escpeially that the meal was all included. I would go back. more

We had dinner at Rods Steakhouse. So much talk about good food and fine dining. what a shame! service was bad, food bad & limited. Steak, & soup was salty. Don't waste your money. Go elsewhere. more

We selected this restaurant based on a review in the Mobile guide. The menu provides a history of the establishment and references it high quality selection of meat. Unfortunately either the menu has not been updated to reflect changes made and/or the criteria that they reference is different from the norm. We selected two different steak options, the ribs and... more

I visited, like many other tourists, Rod's Steakhouse on the way to the Grand Canyon. My mother's family had fond memories of the restaurant when they visited decades ago, so I was eager to try it. Unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. Walking in was like stepping back in time, which was quite cool. Everything looked like it was out of... more

It was 9:00 pm in late February when my son and I returned form the Grand Canyon. Williams is a bit spooky at night in the off-season...almost like a ghost town (though things perked up a bit in the daytime). Rod's was supposedly open, but when we went in business had been so slow they were already closing up. However,... more

We visited Rod's Steakhouse after reading positive reviews in travel books and I can not tell you how disappointed we were. We were a party of two families - 4 adults, 5 children and were staying in the area for 3 nights visiting the Grand Canyon and so on. Our waitress was extremely nice and helpful but the food was... more

My husband and I first like to engage with our servers. We couldn't get our guy to connect at all, too bad because the owners seem to have great personalities. My salad was ok but the blue cheese dressing tasted like they had a minute amount of blue cheese in sour cream and barely resembled what it should have been,... more

We ate here to celebrate my son's birthday, he had prime rib, a lot of fat on it. I had a filet and it was overcooked. There were seven of us and the consensus was that this place was overpriced and the food lousy. And they added an 18% gratuity to their lousy service. Don't waste your money on this... more
