The food was very fresh, very well cooked and presented and the staff very attentive. The bar itself was very friendly and lively.

Since ne and Hannah don't actually drink pubs have never interested us, but we thought well lets just go in and get a fruit juice or something. We went quite late so it was practically just locals in the pub which was perfect we got chatting to one guy and we were made to feel so welcome we went back...

Good ales (one served from barrels behind the bar, three others on handpump) and good simple pub grub. Seems to be popular with the locals - although they can get a little raucous at times.
Every time we're in Lyme, we visit this pub. They are apparently offering great food now but this wasn't on offer in the evenings we visited. Our main reason for going back is that it doesn't really change - it's still a pub! The beer from the barrel was great and the atmosphere worth experiencing. There was a good mix...

A proper pub - nothing pretentious about it - what you see is what you get.
Get in here whenever we are in lyme - my husband rates the beers and their Guinness is good ( I was brought up next to the Guinness brewery in Dublin!)
Had the pleasure of chatting to the lovely Joe a few times -...

Unpretentious pub, with excellent beer and we had a light lunch. The fish soup was all we required on this occasion, and it it was delicious, served with nice bread. The barman took our order and served us, and was a friendly person. Toilets clean.
We always drink here when visiting Lyme regis - it is a proper traditional pub with good atmospere and excellent beer and wine. The food is very hit and miss, we have only eaten there twice and both times have had a bit of a dodgy meal. This time we had two crab on toast- unfortunately the topping was the...

We spent some very enjoyable afternoons in this cracking little pub sheltering from the October gloom. Lovely, well kept beer (Proper Job being one of my favourites) friendly staff, excellent background music (there's a rarity!). A gem. We were unlucky not to have been able to eat there - the chef seems to have had an accident the night we...

we were very fortunate to be staying in an apartment opposite this great pub, very welcoming atmosphere and well kept ales and ciders. We ate there one night and the food was absolutely divine! The chef there obviously really knows his stuff and I'd really really recommend eating there (actually preferred it to Hix, and that was amazing!) everyone is...
