Needed lunch last Wednesday while we were looking at premises in Kelso. We were both delighted at the attentive service and the really flavoursome food. We were told, elsewhere in the town, that the establishment had recently changed hands and that service had improved. We certainly had no complaints and my Special was excellent in every way. More

I loved the Cobbles, wish it was my local! Superb beer (as always from Tempest!), great service, lovely atmosphere and fantastic food...what more could you want?! Just wish all pubs were as good as this but guess it makes if feel more special when you do experience something so good. Would 100% recommend it and hope they go from strength... More

This small restaurant in a small town excelled itself. The food was very nice, well cooked, professionally served and presented. We would recommend without a qualm. More

Friday night is Folk music night with some excellent local musicians. It has had a refurb (It didn't need it) since I was last there. It still has the open log fire and plenty of seating but for me the highlight was the small selection of excellent ales brewed in their micro brewery in Kelso. The Porter and Pale Ale... More

We were told by the owner of the B&B we were at that we should book before we came, but we didn't. However as we came through the town on our bikes we called in to see if they could fit us in and they did as long as we didn't mind having our meal in the bar and not... More

We recently visited Kelso, staying at the near-by Bellevue Guest House, which is only a few minutes walk away. The Cobbles Inn sell a good selection of beers, wines and spirits. There is a Bar area as you walk into the Inn and a Restaurant area to the left. A great selection of meals is available, with plenty selection of... More

Warm, hospitable, good Scottish fare. Our table was between two loud and over served folders. We moved to quieter quarters and had a very enjoyable meal. Best to make reservations. More
