Saul's is ranked far too low on this list. It is the best place in Berkeley for breakfast. I wish we had an authentic Jewish delicatessen in the Berkeley area, and Saul's used to be, but what a disappointment. The service was awful, the bread on the corned beef sandwich was stale, the New York cheesecake was dry, crumbly and stale, the after-dinner espresso was served in a giant coffee cup. We've only had the pleasure of eating at Saul's twice, while visiting the area, but we could happily have every meal there for the rest of our lives.
