Ok, seeing all the "awful" comments on the Castaway, I have to weigh in. A great restaurant? No way. But "awful"? No way either. Like many restaurants with great views the Castaway doesn't have to have the best food ever or a staff that snaps to attention and is driven to perfection. I have had a good many meals here... more

Food & Bar service was awful. They must be understaffed or just disorganized. Wedding coordinator was smileless and hardly charming when asking people to leave the wedding site and enter the reception area. Our food got plunked down while we were dancing, then removed before we ate. We had to ask for silverware for other courses. July 2008 wedding. more

Was here for a wedding reception on July 26th. Food was just plain bad. Heard great things about how this place was supposed to be so good. But the food is low quality "Home Town Buffet" quality for much more $$$$. You can get great views like this for free buy driving around the surrounding hills. The staff was courteous... more

our visit to sunday brunch was not impressive. quality of food is not that good. need to train staff to smile more. they look like they are having a bad day. since this place is crowed with foreigners, they don"t act friendly and they r moody. we sat by the bar where local sit and it was great to mingle... more
