Fine dining or not, our meal at Vigilucci's on State Street (NOT the higher priced view destination on Carlsbad Blvd) was very nice. Good food. Adequate wine list. Very attentive service. Sidewalk dining in one of the cutest old-style downtowns around (and without the constant noise, car fumes, and panhandling of Gaslamp sidewalk dining). What more could you want? Now,... more

Early Sept '09. It's positioned as more of a fine dining spot so review is in that context. Location: A very nice patio that has a pro: great view of ocean and sunset; and a con: It's right on the PCH, so if traffic bothers you, go somewhere else. Vigilucci's near La Jolla was wonderful. My husband and I truly enjoyed our dinner. We ordered a seafood (Fish) special and prime rib with a side of fettuccini. The food was AWESOME and the service OUTSTANDING. Great job Vigilucci's. We will definitely go back on our visit to La Jolla. more

This restaurant offers great promise for a terrific evening of dining. As it turned out the ambience was very comfortable and the service excellent. The only problem is that the food was bland and unimaginative. If you have to spend a $100 to $150 for two for dinner, this is not the place. more

My husband and I really like Vigilucci's in Carlsbad Village. The food is quite good, reasonably priced, and the place has charm.
