Another homey cute kitchen for breakfast. It gets busy, so you may have to wait a couple minutes, but they get you in pretty fast.
This spot is wonderful fills your belly. My husband got the shrimp Po boy with coleslaw and I got the Les omelet which consisted of bacon, green onions, mushrooms and Swiss cheese. Ooo it was delicious. Both plates were together 19 bucks. That's a great deal. Then a quick stroll to the carpinteria state beach. Planning to hit the cajun... More
Small, crowded on weekends, and sometimes there is a wait. Service is good, not great, and the serving sizes are reasonable. Thing that always gets me is the price of juice - large glass of apple juice is almost $4 so an average breakfast for one is going to cost around $17 with tip.
Great spot to enjoy hushpuppies, real coffee, with friendly service. If you have a dog with you there are tables out front so you and the pup can sit together.
A chain place but a good one. Great breakfast with authentic cajun choices. Shrimp and grits my favorite with good spicy andouille sausage. Nice location. some outside seating.
can save planet earth from the barbarian invasion to turn everyone into a tattooed shell of a gene pool that is cracked and must be drained and re-surfaced!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! where do you find such a burrito.............the cajun kitchen cafe in lovely downtown carpinteria!!!!!!!!!!!!!! bone appetit............
I used to live & work in Carpinteria, & would eat here weekly. I've been gone for a few years now, but was back in town to meet with friends. the decor has changed a bit (the grimy, syrup soaked tables are gone) & the music has changed, but the food is still the same...for better or worse. If you... More
I wanted to eat something other then Mexican food so I went to this restaurant and to my surprise it was more like Mexican American food mixed with Cajun inspired but real Cajun food.
My favorite breakfast right now!! Outstanding biscuits and gravy! For someone who doesn't eat eggs, biscuits and gravy, with eggs on the side, is perfect, and these are the best. Add an incredible Bloody Mary, and your sunday breakfast is complete. They also have a selection of New Orleans/Louisiana beers, which is tempting.
A small cafe in downtown Carpinteria serves a full breakfast at reasonable prices with excellent service. If you want a variety of good food especially with a Mexican accent in Carpinteria, this is the place to go.
