I stayed at the Holiday Inn in Chico for 5 nights and sadly didn't try the Star of India until the 4th night. I had never tasted Indian food before now. I really enjoyed it and the staff made it possible by explaining some of the different dishes. I would definately eat Indian food again and at this restaurant for sure! I was greeted at my table by the staff and felt like home with the warm service. Thank you!!! more
I am so crazy for Indian Food right now I want to eat it everyday! I love the fact that they have a lunch buffet for $7.95, it is cheaper than Priya Restaurant more
We were staying at the Holiday Inn in Chico, front desk told us about Indian resturant, we were 3 in the family, we had great food I like the service, staff was very friendly. Next time we come to Chico we will eat at Star of India. more
The wait staff are wonderful--friendly and eager. Some of the dishes are quite salty. Desserts are overpriced. One visit is enough. Priya on Esplanade is SO much better. Their food is high-quality, perfectly seasoned, and DELICIOUS. more
I was a little suspicious of this place because it's located at the Holiday Inn, but a coworker stopped by and said it was good so I gave it a try.
