As a local I know the good places to get a meal in Chico. I avoid the chains and their preservative packed plastic food-in-a-box. Franky's is awesome because its all fresh. They even make noodles from scratch and the waitress told me the sauces are made from the owners grandma's recipe. How cool is that? If you want a taste... more

Franky's is a unique Italian restaraunt. They offer great daily specials, awesome desserts and homemade soups. Not to mention the salads, which are wonderful. All of their dressings are made from scratch daily. They have a small dining area and a great pizza walk-up window. I love eating at franky's! They have great food for good prices. The bar selection is the best in town. They have one of those sliding ladders to reach all of the top shelf items. Fun to watch! Chico doesn't boast a large quantity of unique dining establishments and it is getting smaller by the day. Frankies does offer some creative flare to its traditional Italian dishes. Simple things like spaghetti and meatball,thats right I said meatball!! (Its big) are so so....But every now and then you get a dish like "Angry Pasta" that is to die for.... more

I went to college in Chico and Frankys was my favorite place to eat. I miss the food so much!!! We use to dine there for every occasion. It is the best!!!! When you go, you have to get the pesto chips- they are SO good!!! Also, the calamari is delish! more
