This is not bbq. When you think of bbq, you think of dry rub or a red type of sauce. The sauce here was a brown gravy, just horrible. Wife, kids, and I couldn't believe it. Went once, never returned. more

Barney's has wonderful well roasted, super meaty ribs. The sauce is a brown gravy, not sweet BBQ sauce. The sauce puts some people off, but it's just a different style of BBQ. I have been going to Barney's for at least the past 40 years. They are a tradition in Concord. It is family owned and operated, they take pride in their meals. They do BBQ their meats, but they do not use a sweet BBQ sauce or what I would call a traditional BBQ sauce. They cover the ribs (and fries)... more
I hsve been going to Barney's since 1960, They are the best ribs in the area. They are meaty, the sauce is wonderful. Don't expect anything fancy - just good food. everyone we have brought to Barney's, keep returning. Try the ribs for yourself! more
