Ate there by recommendation but would not eat there again. Portions were large but way to much batter on everything. Not worth the price.
After eating a late lunch we did not want a big sit down meal. After consulting TripAdvisor we choose Jon's . This is a small order at the front and pick up when called restaurant. It is located right at the harbor near the day fishing boats and close to a wine tasting shop and deli. There is a fish... More
The fish and french fries were very good. Reasonably priced and large portions. Great service and you could sit inside or outside. This is not a 5 star restaurant, it is place your order and they will bring your food to you.
My husband and I ate here for dinner. It literally is a hole in the wall establishment. The menu is sloppily written on a dry erase board with a minimal selection. They have seating inside if you want to feel like you're in a cafeteria. The outside seating is better, although it is so close to each other you have... More
And that's about all you will want to eat there - plates are overflowing so you may want to share. Best to sit outside and then wander the harbor area for a while to walk it off. Fish is fresh every day and you can purchase for home cooking as well.
this is a great place to enjoy fish&chips at Dana Point Harbor. its a pretty setting with great eats. NOTE: the large plate is HUGE. plan on splitting this with somebody else as it feeds two quite well.
Had a great meal of fish and chips and also a shrimp taco that we would return to have again!! Enjoy sitting outside people watching as well. Like that meal is fresh and made to order. Worth the wait.
We placed our order at 1PM....and finally received our food (3 orders of fish & chips) at 1:55PM. Anytime we asked when we could expect our order, the same girl gave us varying answers "10 more minutes"; "30 min."; "We're short a cook, and running behind". I understand things happen...but they continued to tell people their orders would be ready... More
I was disappointed with Jon's after reading good reviews here. Tiny place, expensive overcoated utterly bland cod and scallops. Not even salt and pepper offered. Fries were old, not hot or crisp. If u want water they place ur cup under the tap, and u can't have ice!? Cannot recommend it.
Just in front of the Catalina ferry terminal, Jon`s awaits.Try their delicious clam chowder or one of the freshly caught fish grilled. If you can't decide, fish and chips won't let you down.
