This space is the dining room in L'Auberge Del Mar, an upscale boutique hotel. The hotel and restaurant underwent extensive renovation during the past year. The dining room, which used to be called "J Taylor's" has reopened as Kitchen 1540 with a new menu and new chef. Look for reviews, which are generally excellent, under this new name. more

Had dinner at itchen 1540 last nite with my wife. The restaurant is int he L'Auberge Hotel and has a great room just off the lobby. The entire L'Auberge Hotel has been renovated to be very airy and modern with interesting lighting and the restaurant also fits this description.
