I've been going to Gonsea for a few years now. The quality of the food has deteriorated and the last time I went I had some serious customer service problems. I ordered about $50 worth of take out. When I got home, two items were missing. I went back to Gonsea and the cashier told me I didn't order those... more
One small step above average Chinese. more
We ate here for lunch on our way out of town. The food was good, the proportions above average and the price very reasonable. My wife and I definately had plenty left over for dinner. We liked the restaurant but were both a little surprised that it was rated as the second most popular restaurant in Eureka. more
I'm always a sucker for this place. It's great if you relish thawed mushrooms (bleh) but on the plus side, they swear they don't use MSG. more
The food is very resonably priced and tastes amazing. The last time I ordered a lunch special, I was stuffed AND had left overs for dinner. I have gone there when it is super busy and they were very contientious of how they seat people, so there are not a bunch of tables clumped together and a bunch of empty... more

we frequently eat at Gonsea when in Eureka- great food, great prices, too. lots of choices including delicious vegetarian & seafood dishes! lunch is an especially good bargain. :) more
Probably the best Chinese food in Eureka, especially the Crispy Spicy Peking duck, but be prepared to show your picture ID if you pay by credit card. We find it ridiculous (since we've already eaten the meal) and offensive (do we really look like thieves, Gonsea?), but the Dragon Lady insists on this policy. more
