Elephant Bar has a great happy hour, right in the center of town. Always fun to drop in on Wednesdays...discounts on Wine....
We stopped in for drinks & dinner and opted for the bar area since we wanted to watch a ball game as well. Very nice, comfortable layout. The Staff did an excellent job of making sure we had what we wanted/needed without being intrusive. I had the Island Tilapia & my friend had the small sirloin. The fish was excellently... More
I discovered this restaurant a few years ago, and remembered it was pretty decent. It wasn't until I moved to my current home and found the restaurant just down the street, so I tried it and I was hooked. My "usual" is the macadamia nut crusted mahi mahi with mashed potatoes. The atmosphere is comfortable and the crew is really... More
No matter what you are craving it will most probably be on the Elephant Bar's extensive menu. Personally, I have a hard time getting away from the Salmon Burger with sweet potato fries. The green beans deep fried in parmesan cheese are good too. We have tried pasta dishes, mac and cheese, steaks, and burgers, and have been satisfied, although... More
Went to this bar on a Sunday. I just had a few drinks as the menu looked bland and boring. The bartender was attentive and not constantly in your face. The manageress however seemed up her own bottom and strutted around like some prima donna. Would I visit this place again, no.
I have been going to Elephant Bar, Burlingame for almost 10 years. The atmosphere is nice with a great view of the Bay and SF airport. The food is consistently good with reasonable prices. My only hesitation is that it can get very crowded with 30-45 minute waits at times. Most nights we wait 15-20 minutes but it can be... More
Good food for a reasonable price, if you're looking for a fancy restaurant this is not the place, but for good tasty food that won't break the bank this is a great restaurant, it does tend to get busy on the weekends and at night.
We sometimes just drop in to have an afternoon snack or even cocktails during the weekend. It's usually pretty busy so that determins if or how long we stay. They have a large menue, and it's quite diverse.
We have eaten good meals here many times, but had not been there in a few years. So we decided to have lunch there today - big mistake. The food was tasteless and poorly prepared. The decor and service were nice, but we were there for the food and it was terrible. When the restaurant first opened the menu offered... More
We were there 6-8 minutes and the noise was so sever , As we did not even look at the Menu.. we can't rate the food ... terrible atmosphere .. the decor, didn't look. Advised the Hostess to call OSHA and file a work hostile environment. This is hazardous to your health.
