We had lunch at the Beachside on a Friday during the summer, and were amazed that parking was so easy and we were seated immediately. Husband and I were taking our UCSB son to lunch at the Beachside. He started to complain about the mediocre food and spotty service. I said "Do you know anyplace in Goleta that has good food?" Dining on the sand, excellent view, no other buildings around. The food is surprisingly well prepared. Portions are a bit small, try the fish sandwich or one of the fish specials. Bright and friendly, plenty of enthusiastic servers. A real beach cafe is rare on the Ca. coast these days. more
