This is the absolutely best ice cream I've ever had in my life. The chocolate is such a dark color I have no idea what makes it so superbly chocolate, but it's incredible. Traveled by the Amtrack train with family to go to Superior Dairy. In Hanford, this is probably the only ice cream store that I saw. Service of the employees is what really is a huge dislike about the Superior Dairy. It is filled with all teenagers who do not provide customer service, and are just downright rude. I'm a Hanford native so naturally I have had my share of Superior ice cream - my favorite flavors are Strawberry Freeze and chocolate chip. The building has barely changed in the 40+ years I've been going there. The one and only unique, old fashioned Suoerior Dairy! They have a variety of foods and make it fast! S.O.S's are the best! They are about 10" inches tall. I think anybody wouljd absolutely love this ice cream shop! more
I lived in Visalia for 8 years and made regular trips to Superior Dairy. Now I always bring my music students for ice cream when we travel through California. No one makes a better chocolate chip milkshake than Superior Dairy. more
The Ice Cream is fantastic! One reviewer said it was better than you could get in a store. For my wife and I, This is the best Ice cream spot in Hanford and all Kings County. Great service and great prices. Also make sure you really want some ice cream because the portions are huge, we have to share one cone eveytime we go. Also the Back in the day atmosphere helps it be a very nice place... more
So i lived in hanford all my life and Superior Dairy was and is the only ice cream i like. well about 3 years ago i moved to Oakland ca. and up here they have this ice cream parlor called Fentons. and its supposed to be the best ice cream in the usa. yeah NO. there is no flavor compared... more
