Fantastic old-style burger joint! All condiments, including lettuce and onions, are kept burger bar style at the table. And their orange cream milkshake!!! Yummy! more

I've been going since I was a kid, so this place has the BEST burgers to me. '50s dinner feel with a little truck stop mixed in. The steak frys are huge, the waitresses could be tweeking, but the burgers are the best. more

I have always lived within 3 miles of Val's since I was born many, many years ago. :) I have NEVER understood the love of Val's. Love this place because when you walk in, it feels like you walked into the 50's. No frills decor and lots of choices on the menu, but you have to get the burgers to get the full experience. Probably the best tasting burgers in the Bay Area. Do yourself a favor and share the fries... share the milkshakes, too, since... more
