Great prices and quality. Service is really fast. I don't feel guilty eating this kind of "fast food"
My husband and I frequent Poulet Du Jour, Hermosa Beach, often ordering the falafel sandwiches. No restaurant comes close to Mama Habash' recipe. My family has been dining in and getting take out from the restaurant for decades, going back to the time when Mama Habash' name was known by locals for her great food, her caring personality, and her... If you are looking for a good meal and want the experience of a simple, store front, restaurant with good food, this is one to add to your list. Chicken was moist, flavourful, and juicy. The owner was friendly, waiting on us himself, and a great sense of humour. He brought us a falafel to try and it was one... More
I have been eating here for years and have never had a unsatisfactory meal! I love their salad it is just so fresh and yummy. The family meal with hummus, rice and veggies is so healthy and I always feel great feeding it to my family. If you are in or near Hermosa you can not miss this place!
Ordered a whole chicken for takeout -- just mediocre.
If you like chicken then this is the place. A simple cafe type atmosphere but with great service from the owner and his wife. My favorite dish "Poulet au rie"Boneless White Meat Chicken, Rice, and Lettuce, Homemade Croutons, Tossed Garlic or Caesar Dressing, Topped with Fresh Parmesan Cheese. Love to stop in here for a quick healthy lunch.
PDJ is the first restaurant we think of when choosing to eat out. The taste of the food prepared is unbelievable. The awards PDA has received are truly confirmed when you eat the food. All of the people voting for the award were 'right on'.
My sister and brother-in-law eat here and only mentioned this it after we said we had enjoyed the food so much. Salad dressing options include olive oil, lemon and garlic. Everything is home made and full of flavour including the croutons made from pita bread fried in canola oil. Hummus is excellent and available as part of a combination including... More
After two days of eating out on Fisherman's Wharf, my husband and I were ready for something less pricey and truly local. We found just that Poulet Du Jour, where a whole roasted chicken was $10 and a fabulous falafal sandwich was $4.99. The side dishes were wonderful -- with fresh ingredients and attention to quality. The owner, who made... More
