Even though this small little restaurant gets rave reviews I think it was ver disappointing after my VERY long wait. I was expecting the BEST breakfast that iIhave ever eaten and it really was just soo so.....although I thought that the location was nice.....so crowded that igt really isn't a fun experience....sorry! more

Great place to get the local vibe. Super cheap and huge quantities for breakfast - sit at the crowded counter to avoid the long wait out front. Breakfasts are so huge you dont' need lunch. What a cool restaurant close to the beach. We sat inside because there was no wait. About 30 minute wait at both outside places. Big servings (we should have shared the hash browns). The food was really good and the service great! Best coffee I have ever had! more

We visited the Sugar Shack several times during our stay in Huntington Beach, and were never disappointed. Best place to eat breakfast in Huntington Beach AND this area of So. Calif. Worth the wait, and there will be a wait. But, don't be deterred as what seems like could take an hour to wait, may take only 15-20 minutes. Make sure to go thru restaurant to back patio area where tables seem to open quicker.
