Great place for coffee, food, free wifi, and even a view of the water. My husband hung out there for a few hours while I shopped.
I love how you can get a coffee, a tasty pastry, sandwiches, salads, or a beer, all at reasonable prices. Inside is truly like hanging out in your grandma's living room with comfy furniture; views of the ocean in the back, or sit out front on the sidewalk and people watch. California funky.
We stumbled across this place while looking for a reasonably priced lunch in La Jolla. All the other restaurants were very pricy and the food choices were not that appealing. This place had gyro sandwiches and a good chicken sandwich as well. Just the right price and good food with a casual setting.
We were out late and needed some dessert, so a friend suggested this place. It was really laid back, and decently priced. Even though it offers hookah, if you sit in the main dining area, it won't really bother you. I liked the atmosphere, a good place to unwind after a night out.

This restaurant has a great location and it is open late. Serves good coffee and has wi fi. Food is average - hot from the microwave!
In the morning went here for coffee. Very solid , good java and good sizd. Also had a scone the size of my fist and tasty. Service a bit slow but not a big issue. Saturday night went upstairs to their Hookah lounge which was a real trip. Loads of young people , loud but very spirited, loads of fun.... More
Almost didn't stop here for dinner because it seemed dark and depressing inside, but after reading reviews gave it a try. So glad we did! Spinach quiche was excellent. My family (teens included!) liked their dinners too - chicken salad, chicken pie, and turkey sandwich. Mediterranean influenced meals included a nice salad. You order and then sit and they bring... This well located cafe specializes in sandwiches, specialty desserts, coffee and terrific breakfast burritos. The atmosphere is like being in someone's house, right in the heart of Prospect Street, the center of La Jolla shopping. They have a regular business from the locals, which tells you something. I live in La Jolla, so we eat here often.
