I have been to Metro for brunch several times, and I can honestly say that this is my favorite brunch place in the area. The place offers a large, shaded patio. My family stopped in for a 2:30pm lunch on a Saturday. Though I'm a resident of Lafayette, I had not been here before but had heard favorable word of mouth reviews from others in the community over the past 2 years. Odds are if you're traveling to the Bay Area you'll stay in San Francisco or Oakland area but if you happen to find yourself over the bridge and through the tunnel, Welcome. We were so excited to try this new Lafayette restaurant. We took our son and daughter in law out for her birthday. What a terrible disappointment. Our table was like eating in a warehouse. No ambience at all. The service was very slow and disappointing -- The waitress was friendly enough, but that was it -- we barely saw her.... more
