I loved this place. The atmosphere was fun and eclectic and the menu was unique. It is casual and relaxed.
This place serves exotic meats in a sausage form. You can order the standard bratwurst or try something adventurous like crocodile, or rattlesnake. With the sausage you can order belgian fries. there is a good selection of beers here. this place does get crowded around the lunch and dinner hours because of its uniqueness so to avoid the crowds come... Into meats such as brautwurst? With a strong German influence, this spot is always a hit & a 5-star eatery. On weekend evenings it's sometimes a challenge getting seating. Smack in the Arts District. Very casual & very popular.
Note to people: be adventurous I have to give the food a 5 out of 5; the alligator dog is crunchy and u get to build it with your own condiments. I personally love the filipino longganisa; its the pefect mix of sweet and savory. On the weekends the line is long but itell you, the food is amazing. If... More
After reading a lot of reviews on line about this place, I really wanted to try this place. It lived up to all the expectations and more. Several friends and I stopped in here for lunch over the weekend. There is a little wait but the line moves fast. The staff is really friendly directing people and first time visitors... More
This place is so much fun. Everyone in my party raved about how great the sausages were, so I was pretty excited. I got the Austin Blues with sauerkraut and homemade hot peppers. A dream come true. I also ordered the truffle-infused fries and I wasn't sorry...even when I was at the pool in a bikini afterward. It's delicious, indulgent... More
after many beer garten and beer houses in germany ....we loved the creative adoption. great ,different, out of the box wursts (germany do not have such selection). it goes down smooth with franciscaner wizen beer.
Long wait, but worth a try. The Bratwurst & Santa Fe have great flavors. The fries are delicious & the brews are cold. A bit pricey for lunch but the flavors make up for it.
This is one of my favorite places in downtown LA. The place has a cool, hip vibe. The sausage and beer selection are great. There are many choices (bratwurst to rattle snake) and I haven't had a sausage I haven't really enjoyed yet. I also love the Belgian fries, crispy and tender. You can also order them glazed with truffle... More
It is definitely worth a visit if you are downtown LA. The wurst are excellent with many to choose from. My brother had the duck wurst and I had the bock wurst. The taste is authentically German. The French fries with myriad dipping sauces is extensive. The toppings for the wurst are varied and ample. If you go at noon,... More
