Been a loyal Benihana-ian for the past 15+ years. Whenever I go in, I get excited as soon as the chef heats the grill up. Love it all!
i have been to Benihana's many times in Miami and Fort Lauderdale. Upon arriving at the restaurant we were asked to take a seat at the bar, which was fine because we were early for our reservation. the restaurant was not busy at all, yet we were seated near the entrance of one of the rooms. My partner was seated... More
My wife and I celebrated my birthday at Benihana's. The table-side cook really put on a great show and the steak and lobster was cooked perfectly. This was the best lobster I have ever had. We joined their club so you can get a free meal on your next birthday. They took our picture as a souvenir. Can't wait to... More
Very entertaining dining spot for the family---food is tasty and plentiful---the chefs know how to cook and throw the utensils around for fun---everyone in our group had a good time at the Encino/Sherman Oaks location. very
We have been to this restaurant many times and still enjoy the "show" Our grandson wants to be a Benihana chef when he grows up. We had a large family group, including a vegan, and all of us enjoyed our meal. My steak was incredibly tender and cooked to perfection. My son's spicy chicken also was yummy. The only bad... More
Benihana was exciting 25+ years ago but hasn't kept up with rising dining experiences and expectations. Same old flying spatulas, stunts, and menu. We waited a half hour for a table despite having a reservation. But, what do I know...the place was packed! We did have a good time here because of the people we were with. The food was... More

This version in Encino is probably typical of the chain. Atmosphere is nonexistent. Reservations are almost meaningless. Place is overcrowded and extremely noisy. Food is generally good but much too expensive for what you get. If not for our grandson enjoying the show put on the cooks, would never come here.
Very good choice to enjoy a good wine and dinner. The service is excellent as well as its food quality. I recommend this restaurant mainly when you are looking for Japanese food preferences.
Every part of it was well organized and thorough. They even give you a history lesson, certificate, and picture with the Sushi Chef. I may do it again. For a nominal fee they give you a combo roll of sushi, a mixed drink, 4-shots of sake, a California roll (You make), 2-Nagiri (You make), and a hand roll (You make).
