This is the closest thing to a New York pie you're going to find in Los Angeles. Forget about that spongy-crusted nonsense from Andre's on Hollywood Blvd - this is the real deal. I'll admit: If you had a slice at Vito's in New York, it would be pretty forgettable. Just your standard pizza, nothing to write home about. But... more
Was craving a Venetian-style pizza with tuna and onions so walked over to Vito"s with a can of Genovese olive-oil packed tuna in my purse. Handed it to wait staff asking if pizza chef would make me a pie with extra onions and put the tuna on top. Yes, said the chef...his father used to eat this too. Sublime treat... more

i like this place lots. it's one of just a handful of places nearby where you can sit down for a meal that's less than $10. great pizza, ridiculously huge salads, and they even have beer. more
excellent pizza but minimal seating in their new location in a mini-mall north of melrose. probably best to get take-out. more
