Mama D's has great Italian, but the real appeal is the service. They do everything to make you feel like a valud customer - an extra appetizer, remembering names, replenishing bread etc. more

My husband and I stayed in nearby Redondo Beach and were really craving Pizza. We didn't know the area at all so we just drove down to cute little town of Manhattan beach and walked around a bit. Used to be amazing. The family doesn't work it like they used to and the food is mostly made ahead. Still very good for the price but not great. Wide variety of pastas and don't fill up on the garlic balls. Addicting and the main reason I think people go there. more

Go off season, no wait. They made a margherita pizza for me with extra garlic, thin crust and the perfect amount of cheese. They have all the basics of an Italian/American menu. Good low key meal. Nice touch with the chocolate chip cookies at the end of the meal. more

The service was horrible! The ravioli was not cooked right and the sauce would have been better from a can. I'm not a big fan of Olive Garden but compared to this place it's the best. Their version of a Italian salad contained wilted lettuce mushy tomatoes and salty italian dressing. I would not recommend this restaurant!!!! more

I had pasta with the pink sauce which I enjoyed. My husband had eggplant and pasta with the red sauce. He did not like the red sauce at all. He did like my pink sauce when he tried it.
