Need I say more.. Best French fries around. Afternoon snack.. Fried just perfect! Barbra is friendly and the cook, cuts them perfectly!
Disappointingly modest-sized beef patty on an oversized bun at an oversized price. If the burger had matched the bun size, it might have been worth the high price. But it didn't, and it wasn't.
Craving a burger, so we stopped for at Mendo's. the burger was a good burger as was the crab burger. My only problem is the hypocrisy of advertising your support of the liberal causes, while accepting cash only... Sounds like underground capitalism to me?
The burger was delicious; they use John Ford Ranch beef: no hormones, locally pastured. We came back just as the very friendly owners were closing but they agreed to make us a milkshake. It looked as if she put a pint of ice cream in it! It was out of this world! Go!
Pretty mediocre. Ordered a 'Big Dog'. Nope, just a hot dog split in half on a small roll with about 4 sautéed onions and a pink tomato. $7. Sweet wife had a burger and fries. Both under cooked. Cash only was a bit of a let down too. Pretty sure it's not still the 80's.
Nice little mom and pop burger joint. My classic cheese burger was really good, wife had the crab cake burger - also really good. Nothing is cheap in Mendo - $26 for the two burgers and a soda - but the food was good and the owners very friendly. Nice little outdoor eating area as well.
Great fries, very friendly owner. A bit hidden (it's behind the Good Life Cafe & Bakery), but quiet and sheltered outdoor seating with a few benches that we could enjoy with our dog. A bit expensive, but top-quality ingredients -- we had the fish & chips (fish is grilled, not battered-and-fried), and grilled chicken sandwich with fresh crisp lettuce and... More
We stumbled upon Mendo Burger after rejecting the expensive, fancier fare at the Hotel Mendocino. We are glad we did. It was an experience! First off, they only take cash, so remember that if you're gonna go. We had to run across the street to an ATM. The co-owner lady, possibly a former flower child, was very sweet and when... More
After reading good things about dog friendly Mendo Burgers, my wife, adult step-son and I stopped in on a sunny friday afternoon just after 3pm. Parking on the street was all but non existant, but such is Mendocino on a sunny summer afternoon. Hunger won ! Since we had our two Chihuahuas along, a quiet shady table in the patio... More
Small place with a cute patio where dogs are welcome. The burgers are good and the fries are fantastic. My husband had grilled fish and chili cheese fries. The kids enjoyed their burgers but wished the cheese was melted. My turkey burger was very good.
