La Parilla is our neighborhood restaurant. It serves solid and consistent Mexican food, with crisp and friendly service. We have eaten here since it opened about 4-5 years ago and we have never had a bad meal. I am partial to the chile rellenos with green sauce and my wife likes the diablo shrimp. Oh, please as usual once they start to increase their customer base the service goes down the tubes. And now since #2 has opened the #1 is like a red-headed-step-child. Somebody help them, it used to be great. more

Plain and simple, the best Mexican food you can find in Modesto. Great service, a wonderful family atmosphere, and food that makes you want to come back day after day. Delicious! more
