I would like to thank Joanne and all the staff at the Fish Hopper in Monterey, CA for a wonderful day-before-the-wedding dinner for all my out of town guests. What we liked about Fish Hoppers was the "early bird "menu. As long as this menu is posted outside they will honor it. There were plenty of selections, the price was about $15 and the food wonderful. We were visiting from Canada and went for s seafood meal on Cannery row. We paid $30 for and entree, plus desert, when the people at the next table got an appetizer, entree and desert from the "local" menu for $15.00. We were offended that tourists are being gouged by a restaurant while locals get a special deal. So, ask... more

We were able to get a table on the patio. We had clam chowder in a bread bowl and a steak dinner. Both were excellent. The staff were always attentive, and you can't beat eating with the ocean waves crashing below. more

We ate here for lunch on a Friday and the views of the bay were beautiful, it wasn't that busy and the seafood was tasty! Great location and I even saw a seal swimming in the bay. Service wasn't great, and prices are a bit high but the views made up for it. I had the mussels and crab cocktail. more

This is by far the worst restaurant I have ever visited. If you want a view, that is all they have. The food was severely overpriced, the food was the worst, and the service was rediculous.
