Four of us ate there on a Friday night and were pleasantly surprised by the quality and quantity of the food. The chef sent our table complimentary appetizers which we devoured. Service is casual but friendly and knowledgeable - our server recommended some excellent local wines to complement our meal. Definitely a place to return to. more

My husband and I absolutely loved our dinner at Grounds. The food was excellent (I had salmon and my husband had a seafood stew.) The chef even made a special child-friendly meal for our 11-year-old. This restaurant was the best part of our recent trip to Mother Lode country. Our first visit was during dinner. It opened at 5:30pm and the first thing we saw was a big pan of bread pudding.
