It is always a nice experience with Woodlands restaurant in newark, California. Particularly we all like the rasam - which we were given the sooner we were seated. It is very spicy and special treat for us - sipping and browsing through the menu. Our family enjoys the thali, dosa and potato bonda (mysore) variety amongst others. more

I have been to this place probably hundred times or so, as i go here almost everyday for lunch. This is one of the few places in the USA that serves authentic and well prepared south indian food. Owners themselves take part in cooking to ensure the quality of food. The atmosphere of the restaurant and the service are great. more

Have visited a few times this restaurant and found the food tasty and healthy. More important, the special attention to all the guests from the owners, visits from chef and ever attentive waiters and waitresses makes me rate this restaurant as above average and excellent on various typical criteria. Favorite food items are their combos and Madras coffee. more
