I booked a reservation at Basilic after hearing raves from a friend. I was looking forward to a cozy date with my fiance and some great food. What a waste of an evening and our money. We read the great reviews and are always seeking out new and unique restaurants, so we dined at Basilic on a Friday night at 8:30 (the earliest reservation available). Very small and cute! We ordered the raclette. It was good but a bit over-rated. We also had the fois gras, it was seared. Very tasty. My husband ordered the John Dory (fish), excellent. I had steak. It was over cooked and just average. We had a great bottle of wine. For dessert we had the apple tart...the reviews are... more

A local here- one of my favorite restaurants in town. Not a chain. Feels like you're in a small European town of the border of France & Switzerland. Only a few tables; reservations a MUST. Great fun, warm ambiance. A little gem. more
