forget the overpriced and overrated Barney's, this is the real deal. Great milkshakes and fries, too. An Oakland institution, and well loved. more

Hegen Burgers is popular, they do a brisk business with the lunch crowd if you like beef burgers. You phone in your order or go up to the counter to place your order, pay, get a ticket for your order, and then dine in or take out. Their beef patties are very good quality. They have one or two tables... more
