Awful. Absolutely awful. While it has been in business for over 40 years, Francesco's has some of the worst food I've ever consumed. I ate here prior to a flight, and wish I would have waited and had a crappy hotdog at the airport instead. The decor is outdated: ugly silk flowers, dark wooden columns, a large dinner-style counter. No trip though the Oakland airport is complete without at least one stop at Francesco's Restaurant. This is an old, established family restaurant; it is always jammed with locals at lunchtime. Try the DiLullo’s Special (egg, peppers, spinach, sausage, ground sirloin etc) and if you’re lucky enough to be there at lunchtime on Tuesday, the Osso Buco is to die... more

Dined here the night before we departed the West Coast from the Oakland airport. Large resturant on a corner on the main road going to the terminal. Food was typical Italian and very good. Service was excellent w/ a large serving staff. Very busy but not a long wait. Reminded me of a large family owned resturant from the 1950's... more
