What a surprise!!! Nestled into a small shopping area and blocks from the beach, the food was great, the service friendly, and the decor was surfer-hip. Had one of the "scrambles" that was fully loaded with hot sausage, jalapeños, cheese, and tortillas. The pancakes were sublime!! This was a wonderful place to eat! I found this place via Urban Spoon on a recent trip to San Diego. The food was excellent, the service was great, and the atmosphere was relaxed. Definitely, try the omlette with the guacamole and chicken machaca! Yummy!! i now know where to return on my next trip to Southern California! more

This is a weekend favorite when the weather is good because the dog can come along. There is always a wait, but its so worth it! Servers are all happy, and the food is delicious! more

We always eat at beach Break Cafe on the drive from San Diego to LA: you can have breakfast at any time but the lunches are spectacular too- huge bowls of soup, the fresh, spicy fish tacos, the fabulous sandwiches. Great food, great service, worth the wait for their breakfasts. You should try the banana crunch French toast, it was decedent . When in Oceanside this should be on your list of places to vist. more
