On a cold wintery evening, after a walk along the coast, their clam chowder bread bowl totally hits the spot. It's nice and hot, and just the right thickness. There's the option to have it served in a bread bowl, which is delicious. They make the top of the bread into garlic bread... umm... yum! We ordered a seafood linguini... more
Went here on the advice of our innkeeper with a card for a free dessert and we didn't feel like the hastle of going back to the wharph at Monterey - we could walk to the restaurant from our inn so that was a plus! Had the chowder in the bread bowl and it was good, but not the best... more
Amazing clam chowder. The calamari and fish n chips are also excellent. Prices are good, and the atmosphere is fun. I stop by for dinner after diving in the area. I just keep coming back. more
My husband had the shrimp scampi and I had Scallops Provencale. We thought we had died and gone to Heaven. The next night we tried a different restaurant and wished we had gone back to Vivolo's. We can't wait to get back to Pacific Grove to try the chowder. more
What a welcome surprise at the end of a less than wonderful day. Simple surroundings with superb seafood choices. My seafood chowder was probably the best I have ever had. My husband's selection was excellent too but he was envying me my choice. Hopefully we will be able to stay in lovely PG again and eat at Vivolo's more
Chowder and Calamari doesn't get better then this. Plus the waiter is pretty damn sexy! more
