We found this cute Italian restaurant in Pacifica tucked around a bend. It was welcoming, warm, and had great food. We took our 5 year old son and even though it didn't seem like a place you'd take kids, they do have a kids menu and were very family friendly. They served local foods and we especially enjoyed the zucchini... more

Having lived in Pacifica for 3.5 years, I have eaten at almost every local restaurant. (I'm including Half Moon Bay and everything in between, as well as San Mateo and Burlingame in my definition of local.) Barolo is easily the best in terms of food, price, atmosphere, and waitstaff. Barolo strives to please its clientele and it shows. The duck... more

I have eaten here three times at the former Restorante Mare in Pedro Point Pacifica.Built on the site of the Former Vagabond Restaurant which shut down in 1989.First time here service wasn't too bad . The next two times it was dreadful, waited 10 minutes after seating before waitress would ask us for something to drink. Then 15 minutes later we... more

I've only been here once so far, so perhaps this was an off night. Decor nice enough, waiter enthusiastic but untrained. Food was not bad but also not particularly great in any way and didn't rise above "ok" throughout the meal. I'll probably go back because there aren't that many restaurants in Pacifica. more

Pretentious without a leg to stand on. Unseasoned, ill-cooked and uninspired menu as well as WAY over priced for the quality (or lack thereof) of food. Save your money or drive to San Francisco for a good meal. more

for Pacifica, and even the foodie paradise of San Francisco, this is a GREAT restaurant. The food is consistently amazing -- except the pizzas. Those can be totally removed without any tears shed. Try the Panna Cotta, it's to die for. more

Tried Barolo after hearing about it from a fellow golfer. Was my wife's birthday dinner. Food was very good; HOWEVER, our whole dining experience from sitting down to getting our check was 2 hours. Since the portions were not huge there was alot of waiting. No communication whatsoever!!! In the end the waiter apologised and said that there was a... more

Love it! My husband and I eat here at least once a week. We LOVE the lobster, scallops, and flat iron steak to name a few. The corn soup is not to be missed if your lucky enough for it to be on the special menu. more

Barolo is tucked away in the Pedro Point region of Pacifica, and offers a selection of well-prepared food. Our favorite is thethe flat iron steak that comes with gorgonzola mashed potato's and swiss chard. Absolutely wonderful every time. Pesto gnocchi are also excellent are as the butternut squash ravioli. Definitely work checking out. The flat iron steak runs $18, and... more

We ( a party of four) had dinner here the week before Valentines. We got off to a slow start, we waited about ten min. before the waitress was able to get to our table. She gave us comp calamari appetizer because of this. Wasn't very tasty, I've had much better else where, but the rest of the dinners and... more
