Four of us had dinner at Evvia this evening and enjoyed the experience. We were drawn to the warm, rustic ambience. The appetizers we tried were all excellent; the dinners were very good, but perhaps not inspiring. The service was friendly, knowledgable, and prompt. Four stars. more
I spent a week doing a Jazz Residency at Stanford University. I ate at Evvia every night (that's right, 6 nights in a row!!). I was on a business trip to Palo Alto and Evvia was so good that I went there twice during my trip. The first night I have the Katsiki Yiouvetsi (braised goat), which was very tender, and had lots of flavor. The second night I had the lamb chops, which were the best I've had. Evvia Greek's food is delicious and the atmosphere is comfortable and intimate (although very upscale.) It's very expensive, typical for restaurants in Palo Alto, but worth it. The lamb is to die for, the moussaka is heavenly and the desserts are wonderful. Book ahead for weekends. more
