My girlfriend and I enjoyed Happy Hour for the first time at MacArthur Park last week and had a great time. It was Wednesday Night which is Ladies Night and we sat at the bar and enjoyed fancy $11 drinks for $5.50. I have lived in Palo Alto for over 40 years, and have been a Palo Alto fan and gourmand for many years. MacArthur Park was one of our most cherished and favorite restaurants, with good food (excellent ribs/chicken), and extremely accommodating and friendly staff. That all changed with FAZ got ahold of the restaurant--another example of this guy who's ruined... more

Very good steaks, excellent wine, perfect service, slightly pricey. Good bar also. more
Restaurants often have difficulty with a large group but twenty two people were served in a private dining room with ease. Appetizers included spring rolls and calimari - both very good Spinach salad had roasted pecans and feta cheese; light and fresh The filet was melt in your mouth quality.
