It is challenging to find good food and a nice atmosphere at a reasonable price on the peninsula, but you'll find it at Vino Santo. The food and service are consistently good--it is one of my favorite restaurants and I am pretty picky. Oh and they bake their own bread--yum. more
Living in the Bay Area, there are dozens and dozens of good Italian restaurants to choose among, ranging from inexpensive family style to expensive cibo. The food is absolutely delicious at this little informal setting. The wine pours are generous. Additionally, the pricing is very reasonable. The staff are very friendly and accommodating.
