Our group wanted to try someplace different on the Peninsula for lunch. Someone had heard about Istanbul Restaurant, so we tried it out. It was a very nice surprise! The restaurant, though off the Laurel Street "strip," was quaint and nicely decorated. Our Turkish server was very pleasant and happily made entree recommendations when we asked. What a sensational find. I stopped by for lunch and dinner last week and it was perfection. Lunch: The Doner sandwich was lite and filling. The chicken wrap was fresh and very tasty.
