The staff is pleasent, the invironment is cozy, but...the food.... Ah the food. From the moment you come through the door you are emersed in the aroma of Italy. If you want a great italian meal for a good price this is an excellent choice. The atmosphere can be tough to deal with as the location is small, loud, and usually crowded, but the food is well worth it. If you like good Italian food you owe it to yourself to try Via Maestra 42 more
This is the most authentic and homemade Italian food in Santa barbara. The location/parking is the not the most ideal, but waiting for a parking spot is a very small price to pay for the food. The gnocchi is out of this world, and they have lots of imported Italian meats, cheese etc. They also have home made tiramisu, pastries,... more

Food is good, not great...prices fairly steep for atmosphere/service. Staff apologized to every other guest for poor service/short-staffing. Grungy floors...between selling gelato as an ice cream parlor, their delivery service, retail products and attempting to be a finer dining restaurant, they fall very short. Will not go back. more
A personal favorite of this Santa Barbara native. Excellent authentic Italian cuisine with reasonable pricing, the atmosphere is very home-like and the service is always friendly. The portions are just right, and the fare of the dessert menu will leave you humming - the perfect ending to a guaranteed delightful gastronomical experience!
