their food is OK - good but it's impossible to carry on a normal conversation amidst the cacophony around you. Prices are reasonable so I would suggest using their carry-out service.
We have eaten here at Filippi's since then opened in Santee and always will. Food is the best. Spaghetti always tender, biggest meatballs for any Italian Restaurant in the County ( All Filippi's) We love Peggy Sue for a waitress, Priscella does a great job as the GM. Bobby D runs a great place, miss seeing him in here as... More
Had the Italian sandwich for lunch. Around six dollars. Delish! The bread was so fresh and toasted. I was in and out in twenty minutes ( I was in a rush). Pizza here is pretty great too.
We been there three times now and we just love The antipasto salad, it's huge and the best we've ever had and we also love the torpedo's and lasagna... The service is great the food is great and the price is right... we'll be going back real soon...
This restaurant was more than willing to accommodate our group of almost 50. Service was good, but food left a lot to be desired. Has that institutionalized taste. Not much flavor or seasoning. This place makes Olive Garden look like high end dining. Pizza toppings are hidden under mounds of cheese. Potions are huge, so order on the small size.
If you have to go down to Santee, CA (San Diego area), Filippi's Italian restaurant is right across from the Best Western and is a safe bet for a family dinner or lunch. Be prepared to stand in line for a little bit, All Filippi's restaurants have a wait time, but they do make the biggest meatballs in town!
We ordered a large "Fit for a King" pizza, thinking that 3 people should have no problem finishing it--but it came out topped so thickly that despite its deliciousness, we sent leftovers home with my friend! You really need to try it!
We ordered 2 large pizzas and quickly discovered the enormous behemoths these were. Covered mozzarella cheese and piles of toppings. This was truly some great pizza. The salads were good and nicely portioned. The server Wa great. If you want great pizza this is the place but beware. Come hungry!
The pizza here is just as good as at their Litttle Italy location and you don't have to hunt for a parking space! A Phillipi's pizza is piled high with toppings! If you order one large pizza of your chioce and a antipasta salid. Unless there are four or more adults in your party..you will be taking some pizza home... More
