They make the best chicken burrito ever. Order it with their burrito sauce. It is chock full of tender white chicken meat very flavorful, unlike the garbage they serve in Old Town. And only $7! I went to Fidel's last night and was very disappointed. I went to the restaurant with a group of 12 for our friend's birthday. After we sat down, it took about 10 minutes to get our drinks and 25 minutes for our server to take our order. When he finally he came, he was actually saying things like "come on"... more
We got to Fidels last night November 29th at 6:30 and the place was packed. The line moved quickly, the food was excellent, refried beans seemed to be home cooked, and the chicken asado burrito was excellent, although a little on the not so spicy side. Try to get there before six or after 7:30pm. more
I really like Fidel's Little Mexico, but the food was so unbelievably heavy, I felt like I had consumed about six pounds of lard. Went to dinner at Fidel's last night. Very disappointed with the food and service. I had a chicken burrito and my friend a chimichanga. The food had no flavor and was reminiscent of college cafeteria food--seriously. The chicken looked pulverized and the accompanying rice, beans and salsa tasted like they came out of a can. Absolutely the best, amazingly enough, this authentic restaurant and Tonys Jacal next door are possibly the two best Mexican food restaurants on the entire planet.
