Nice food. Only drawback, the Lasagna. it would be great, if the focus wasn't on the Spinach. what ever happened to Meat Sausage Lasagna? I know they'll pour some meatsauce over it, but its just not as good. The Burgers are huge, and tasty. Just a nice basic Lake Tahoe favorite for whenever. more

We enjoyed two breakfasts here during a group trip last weekend. Menu has a decent variety and reasonable prices for the area. The service was excellent. The first morning I had corned beef hash seasoned with peppers, topped with crispy hash browns and two perfectly cooked overeasy eggs. The portion was large enough for leftovers. Second morning I tried the... more

The servers were all quite friendly and accommodating to three young children. But the food sampled by all four adults was dreadful. All veggies were frozen and flavorless, the mashed potatoes were instant, the fried chicken just passable, and the lasagna was unacceptable. Not sure how this place has garnered so many positive reviews or stayed in business for so... more

A bit pricy for breakfast, but it is right in very picturesque downtown Tahoe City. The food is just fine, the funky decor (wicker motorcycle, a real vintage motorcycle, a moose head, antique gumball machines, and so on) is very appealing, the wait staff is eager to please (our waitress took nine orders in her head and never mixed up... more

This is the old reliable resto in the heart of Tahoe City. Great for breakfast - try their Mexican Eggs and their house made cinnamon toast. Coffee is always fresh and hot, give you the caf for skiing. Wade through the ads in the laminated menu to find the food. For some unknown reason, nearly all the dinner entrees cost... more

Huge variety on the menu: salads, pizza, pot roast, breakfast. Kind of like a high end diner. Food is good, not great. Fun atmosphere. Good value. The original building burned 10 years ago and the present one was rebuilt in the same early 1900's style. The bar is always crowded with locals during big sportying events. One of the places... more

I really wanted to like this place because it's so cute, right in the center of town, with interesting decor...wooden skis, wooden sleds on the walls from decades ago. But the food is just mediocre. My fish, though cooked nicely, very moist and tender, was also rather bland. My son ordered the noodle bowl. There isn't much Asian food he... more

Whilst on a tour around the Lake, on a family break from skiing, we saw the Cafe and popped in for a late morning coffee. We liked it so much that we stayed for lunch. more

Pretty standard fare, though the effort to include Asian-inflected dishes is a nice touch. Neat decor. So-so service. Usually crowded, but other places are at least as good (Fat Cat Cafe, Fiamma). more
