Trip was mid-Aug '08. Our party of twelve waited 45 mins to sit outdoors even though there was no wait at the (older?) indoor branch of the restaurant. We are from the Bay Area and brought our son's new in-laws to Tahoe City. They are from Kansas and had never been to Tahoe before. They were enthralled with the scenery, the lake, the views, the mountains and trees and especially lunch at the Bridgetender Tavern and Grill. It was their favorite meal of the trip. The Bridgetender used to be located next to the "fanny bridge". It was built around a few old trees and had the vintage Tahoe ambience. Live plants snaked around the ceiling.
