Anticpated a great experience from prior reviews. Service was polite by but inattentive and terse. Food was solidly good but uniformly over-salted and unreasonably priced. Atmosphere is terrific from a casual elegance decor standpoint, but very loud in the indoor seating area. If you go, hope your exeprience was better than ours. more

Interesting menu with the usual innovation typical of the Wine Country. Examples: Tomato soup with puff pastry; escarole salad with hard boiled egg and bacon. We stumbled on the bistro and were extremely glad we did! The menu and service reminded me of my favorite places in Paris and Lourmarin. The steak tartare and frites were presented with style. Food and service are top notch. In my book, it's a cut below Bouchon (which is right down the street), but certainly an excellent place and still casual enough to fit well into a relaxed trip to Yountville. We'll go back someday I'm sure. more

2nd night of our stay in Yountville we contemplated Bistro Jeanty or Redd. Decided on Bistro Jeanty as it was closer (by a couple of yards!) to our lodgings. Thoroughly enjoyed the cooking at this little piece of France in Napa Valley. Every dish was bursting with flavor and delicious. Better than the more widely known Bouchon a few doors away. Best bread pudding I ever tasted. Outstanding for the food and a nice atmosphere. Would highly recommend to anyone. more
