I took advantage of their "community dinner' - which is an early bird menu until 5:30 pm. I thoroughly enjoyed a glass of wine, Tomato Soup, Quiche (which came with a large salad), and one of the best desserts I ever had - English Toffee cake - all for less than $25! more

My dad works a few blocks away, and occasionally we meet at the kitchen for breakfast. GREAT fresh-squeezed OJ! Their pastries are really wonderful, as is the praline french toast and crepe-like folded pancake with cheese. My fiance and I went once for lunch and were seriously disappointed by how expensive it was. The food is good, but not THAT... more

We went for lunch and were told at 12:15pm that they were out of some of the menu items... that's ridiculous. Ordered chicken and it took 45 minutes... why? Rude and inept service -- as well as overpriced. Avoid this place! more

This is definitely one of Pearl Street's highlights. The eco friendly restaurant isn't just that - it's ecofriendly and amazingly seasoned and prepared food. Each dish has a unique blend of spices and flavor that you savor every bite. The Restaurant really is the best food in Boulder. The menu changes frequently and so you are always in for a... more

They use a wood burning oven that spews toxic fumes over Boulder 7 days a week nearly 12 hours a day. Google "wood burning and cancer " then wonder how eco-responsible this place is. This cooking method is a health hazard. more

This was my first visit to the Kitchen for some months. (I have only just forgiven them for stopping serving what was Boulder's best weekday breakfast, back in the Spring). Anyhow, we were seated quickly downstairs on a weeknight for what was a business dinner. We shared 2 starters between 3 of us; a confit dish and an eggplant-base dish,... more

I ate lunch at The Kitchen recently and have to say the ingredients used were some of the freshest I have ever eaten. The atmosphere is a little noisy but it is a very lively place with a nice buzz to it. The wait staff was great to look at but their service was so cold they could turn off... more

I live in Boulder, walking distance from the Kitchen, and it's my favorite spot for a nice dinner. You can taste the freshness--they stress mostly local cuisine. Simple or complex fare, it's all well prepared. I love the potato salad--so simple, so good, and they've even posted the recipe on their website! Veggies are a no-brainer here, but the meat... more

We were in Colorado for nine days, traveling around and eating every meal in restaurants. This was the best meal of the trip; the food was fresh and full of flavor, the service was good, and the location is convenient to the Pearl Street Mall. The noise level gets a bit high, but we would definitely return. more

Took my parents for a "special" dinner while visiting my hometown. We had 7:30 rSunday eservations and were seated imediately. As we ordered we found out that they were "out of" the only beef dish listed, "out of" the pasta dish, "out of" several inexpensive wine choices, but did have several stew (leftover) dishes. Rosemary fries great, remainder of dishes... more
