First, don't expect glittery fine dining Aspen-style when in Breck. It's not going to happen. We visited Blue River Bistro twice during our trip. We had a full course dinner the first night and drinks and salads at the bar the second night. Our dinner consisted of creative salads, tasty pasta entrees, a bottle of Pinot Noir, and a night... more

We stopped by this restaurant early one evening. For starters, they served olive oil with balsamic vinegar and cracked pepper with italian bread. Quite good. We ordered 2 greek salads which were delicious. For our entrees, we had the special which was grilled scallops with an apple glaze with mashed potatoes and asparagus and the pasta primavera which was loaded... more

Our party of four thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at Blue River Bistro. We each ordered something different and the quality of each entree was very good. The creme brulee was also a nice choice. The service was good and the atmosphere pleasant. Just an all around nice place to enjoy a leisurely lunch. more

My fiance and I had dinner here after looking for upscale Italian and we were not disappointed! The hostess was amiable and helpful, seating us in a prime location so we could enjoy the jazz that started up shortly after we arrived. Music was great and yet did not interfere with our conversation. Our server, Marcus, was incredibly helpful with... more

My husband and I met friends for dinner in Breckenridge recently and had been told that the Blue River Bistro had some great pasta dishes, which appealed to him. When we arrived I was very pleased to find that there were many healthy, wonderful items to choose from, including some excellent fish dishes. Our friends who met up with us... more

Apparently the last 2 weeks in Breckenridge is called "mud season", most restaurants are closed. But we came across Blue River Bistro with buy on get one free dinners! Wow, great food, good service, pleasant atmosphere. I'd eat here again and they serve tofu! more

this place pretends its fine dining (i.e. wine list, reservations recommended) but its just a loud, noisy sports bar with crowds of people doing shots and spilling beer surrounding our table, a few games on in the background, and the smell of wet ski boots lingering in the air. Service was pretty bad, we ordered the "award winning calamari appetizer"... more

I have been to a most of the restaurants in Breckenridge CO and the food is terrible. The staff is slow and the prices or over priced. Don't waist you time or money there. more

I read a few reviews and have to agree with some of the negatives. For the price, one should get a polished (or at least clean) wine glass. Food & lipstick on all of the ones us 4 got. Food not bad but not great. The worst thing was the extremely uncomfortable chairs. All of them, in the whole place.... more

My boyfriend and I took our first trip to Breck last weekend. After a day of skiing, we went to this Bistro. it was nearly empty as we were there a bit early, maybe 3:30. The hostess tried to seat us in the bar area and didn't seem very happy when we insisted on a table in the dining area.... more
