I took my first bite of a beignet and my mouth didn't stop watering until the end of our visit!!! Our server Kate recommended that we squeeze lemon on the beignet and now I must suggest this to everyone I meet hence. Love their homemade buttermilk biscuits with their one-of-a-kind strawberry jam. There is nothing usual about this place which... more

Everything about Lucile's sounded fantastic to me. And right from the coffee start, it was really pretty good. It was nice to go to a place where you didn't have to just compare the pancakes with your favorite breakfast joint. Instead, the menu presents a consistently Louisianan theme and skips the usual American breakfast options. Eggs Benedict and Omelets are... more

Wish this place would open for dinner. Very, very yum breakfast and lunch menu to choose from. They make their own tabasco, which is excellent-not the vinegary overkill of national brands. Beginets with tons of powdered sugar-which I noticed several other diners came in for, too. The grits cooked just right. If you know about grits, you realize how hard... more

Lucile's on Logan/Alameda in Denver. This creole restaurant rivals most you would find in the bayou. My first visit, it far exceeded my expectations. First noticable thing upon entering, its like your southern aunts kitchen. Its a small bustling place. A small bar (yes, though this is a breakfast/brunch place, they have a cute bar great for solo diners). The... more

Definitely worth the wait - and you can go to the bar and order a bloody mary or mimosa while you wait! Great place for a group for weekend brunch - you will not be hungry for the rest of the day! Really delicious menu - awesome french toast (pain perdu), egg dishes, MUST order the beignets and a cafe... more

You'll wait for a table on the weekends but it is worth it. Authentic Cajun fare another place you won't leave hungry. more

Lucile's is no Southern-style restaurant. It tries to be, and fails. I have eaten here many times, as I have tried to see what my friends see in Lucile's. The beignets are dry, the french toast is watery (I have no idea how they manage this), and the rest of the menu is mediocre at best. There are many wonderful... more

This is a great local favorite and possibly the best Bloody Marys that I have tasted, the mix is soon to be available bottled for sale along with the home made jams, ketchup and hot sauce. You have to be prepared to wait for a table especially at weekends believe me it is worth the wait. Great Creole and Cajun... more

Best brunch place in Denver- try the Chickory cofee, the spicy bloddy mary, and fantastic Creole food that brings me back to New Orleans. And those biscuits- a meal alone. Love it! more

The food is high quality, well prepared and served in a prompt and efficient manner, at a fair price from a simple but not overpowering menu. However, what sets this particular Denver eatery apart from the rest, is it's unique wait-staff which are hand picked from some of the best young people in the mile high city. Practically everone who... more
